Immigration and Nationality Law. We have extensive experience in all areas of immigration and nationality law and are able to assist clients with a wide variety of services including naturalization, family-based immigration, employment-based immigration, temporary visas and extensions, court cases, deportation defense, asylum and temporary protection, visa applications through the U.S. embassies and consulates abroad, petitions under the Violence Against Women Act, and other categories of immigrant and non-immigrant visas. We have particular expertise in the overlap between criminal and immigration laws and frequently assist our clients and their criminal defense attorneys with crafting plea deals to avoid negative immigration consequences.
Appellate Litigation. We represent clients in all phases of federal and state court appellate proceedings, including working with clients and attorneys in trial-stage proceedings to help develop litigation strategy, conduct research and analysis of claims and issues, prepare pleadings and written briefing, and conduct oral arguments on major motions. We have significant experience handling general business litigation, class actions, intellectual property cases, and criminal appeals in state and federal appellate courts. We also have expertise handling immigration appeals before the Board of Immigration Appeals, the Administrative Appeals Office of the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service agency, and the federal courts of appeals. Our appellate attorneys are admitted to practice in California, New York, and the Courts of Appeals for the Second, Ninth, and Federal Circuits.
