The firm’s newest Partner, Jean Kim, joined Stiller + Buxbaum in 2004 and became a Partner in 2013.  Mr. Kim obtained his J.D. degree from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law in 1999 and was admitted to the California state bar the same year.  He is also admitted in Hawaii and the District of Columbia.  He received his BA and MA from the University of California, Berkeley.  He practiced for 3 years in Hawaii in business immigration and e-business, helping corporate clients establish a U.S. presence and receiving the PacificNews.Net 2002 Hawaii’s Top High Technology Leaders Award.  He also served as the President of the Korean American Bar Association Hawaii for two years, organizing and hosting the 2002 International Association of Korean Lawyers annual conference.  He has been on the Board of the Korean American Bar Association of Northern California since 2004, serving as Director and Secretary.  He is also serving as Treasurer of the International Association of Korean Lawyers.  He is a Lifetime Member of the Asian Pacific American Bar Association of Silicon Valley.  He is fluent in Cantonese and Mandarin Chinese and conversational in Korean.
