The principal attorney, Scott Mossman, has dedicated his practice solely to immigration and citizenship law since 2003. During that time, he has developed expertise in representing immigrants who have experienced an arrest or conviction at some point in their life.
Attorney Scott Mossman’s services include:
- Working with a criminal defense attorney or public defender to minimize the immigration harm from California or federal criminal charges, including avoiding conviction of an aggravated felony, crime involving moral turpitude, controlled substance offense, or other inadmissible or deportable offense.
- Representation at the USCIS San Francisco and San Jose Field Offices on applications for naturalization to U.S. citizenship (N-400), immigrant relative petitions (I-130), and applications for permanent resident status/a green card (I-485). For these cases, we represent only clients who live in the counties of Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, and Sonoma.
- Removal/deportation defense and bond hearings before the San Francisco Immigration Court, which has jurisdiction over respondents who live anywhere in Northern California or who are detained at the West County Detention Facility (Richmond Jail), Sacramento Main Jail, Rio Cosumnes Correctional Center (RCCC), or the Yuba County Jail.
- Representation on immigrant and non-immigrant visa applications at U.S. consulates abroad, including waivers of inadmissibility (I-601, I-601A, I-212, etc.) if necessary.
